Their "Shepherd the Flock of God" book says (excerpt):
i was talking with an elderly sister today, and she brought up the topic of pioneering in march & april.
she then mentioned the elderly brother who has an extremely serious condition who was used to explain to the congregation, how he would adjust to be able to get the pioneer hours in.
it became 100% clear to the sister (and probably others) that this brother could die by pushing himself so hard.. loving shepherds, prove it - don't sanction such ones to enrol for such a life-threatening exercise.
Ready to die? No, God permitting.
"Some must discontinue their pioneer service because of serious health problems. If pioneers are not hasty in this regard, however, they may find that a sickness can be cured or health can improve sufficiently for them to continue pioneering. Many can pioneer despite health problems because they get medical treatment, stick to a diet suitable for them, and get needed rest and exercise. A traveling overseer observed one pioneer sister so afflicted with arthritis that she needed help to walk from house to house in the ministry. (Acts 20:20) Yet, she and her husband conducted 33 home Bible studies and had helped 83 people to accept God’s truth. Her health improved in time, and she attended the Pioneer Service School 11 years later."

The Searcher >>> very true.
Trust no one with your reasons - especially not your Witness family members.
the reason being:.
"all of our teachings are based on the bible, not on the writings of some religious leader in the united states.

Wow can that be? As far as what I understand, all the writings originate from Brooklyn, NY, USA.
Has something changed? Or is it just disinformation?
Many doctrines JWs adhere to I have never seen to be teachings of the Bible. But many of their doctrines for sure were conjured up in the ivory tower and had their beginnings there.
ok, can someone please tell me, what in the world do these women have on their faces???.
i couldn't find that it said where this was taken, but i'm guessing it's in myanmar as that is the featured country in the yearbook.
for context, here's a scan of the entire cover:.
Thanakha:
cantleave >>> In that picture he looks so gay.
i heard very few if any, of the new members on the governing body actually go out in field service more than three hours a month.
is there a reason why the governing body would excuse themselves from the master's commandments?
jesus christ never said "spending time writing rules and regulations" was part of matthew 28. .
Cedars >> What is this?
This is a black briefcase - doctored onto the original book bag the brother is carrying - now "worthy" of being in the presence of a GB member.
It only goes to show how much they despise to be around the regular crowd - the "great crowd (am ha·’a′rets)."

If only 8 men in Brooklyn could follow his lead.
Exactly my sentiments.
If only "God's rottweiler" in Brooklyn would do the same .

The last time a pope resigned was in 1415. Back then Pope Gregory XII pronounced the resignation, which the cardinals accepted. However, the last time a Pope resigned voluntarily, was Celestine V in 1294.

with all this new light replacing old light one has to really wonder about this god?.
in the begining god said: "let there be light" and it was so for about a 1/2 hour and then it went back out..
The Watchtower, February 15, 1947, page 60
there were times when i was a jw that i asked myself :.
'what constitustes actual worship at the meetings?'.
it got to a point where the only worship i could see was a sycophantic arse licking of the governing body.. i found nothing at the meetings(tm) were actually anything like worshipping god.. .
The Bible says, for example, that if your worship is to be “acceptable to God,” it must be “a sacred service with your power of reason.” In other words, you must worship God “in a way that is worthy of thinking beings.”
Just think of your last meeting. Was it truly "refreshing" and something "worthy of thinking beings"?
Exactly what religious service was offered indside?
Or did it have more the resemblance of a sales seminar?
